MICHELLE DAVIES

Michelle Davies was born Oct. 24, 1967, in Salt Lake City to Michael “Tobe” and Valaree Davies. She passed away May 7, 2023, at her home in Spanish Fork.

Michelle graduated from North Sevier High school in 1985. In school she loved English, reading, and writing stories. In 1986 she finished cosmetology school. 2004 Michelle graduated from Ameritech college with a 4.0 GPA in Medical Billing and Office Management. She worked for multiple offices including Utah Valley Hospital and Back on Track Family Chiropractic.

In 2012 she married Marco Castro the father of her 2 amazing and beautiful daughters who were the loves of her life. She loved being a mother, friend, and cheerleader for her girls. She also loved her nieces and nephews and wants them to know how much they meant to her. When Michelle wasn’t working tirelessly for Capital One or the foundation, she could be found in her garden or in her kitchen cooking fabulous food. She was an avid reader, loved to craft and she loved to talk. Michelle was extremely talented at so many things, but one of her greatest skills and gifts was connecting with people. She loved to meet and talk to people and find out their life story. She was always quick with a smile, and her smile could light up even the sunniest of rooms. She always enjoyed a 44 oz Pepsi in a plastic cup and loved her chihuahua, Pinky.

Michelle was always one to serve, she joined the board of directors of I SEE You! Foundation in 2019 as community outreach coordinator, where she held that title until her unfortunate passing. She was an example of service, love, and a voice for those who did not have one. She was an incredible advocate for suicide prevention. For several years, Michelle was active in the Girl Scouts helping young ladies find themselves and become stronger in their own lives.

Michelle was a lover of all creatures and humans. She lovingly accepted everyone including her sister and brother in laws families as her own – and they loved her. She rescued many animals and had countless college roommates come home with her for holidays when they didn’t have a place to go.

Michelle leaves behind her husband, Marco Castro; their daughters, Phoebe Grace and Lucianna “Lucy” Gabriela; parents, Michael “Tobe” and Valaree Davies; and her brother, M. Paul (Jennifer) Sydney, Tori, Tobey and Zoey Davies; and her sister, Jennifer (Kenny) Morgan and Wyatt Witt; and her BFF Desiree’ “ Re’ “ (C. Ryan “Buzz”) Hurley, and RoxyMac Raulston.

Michelle was a wonderful friend to those who knew her. Her passing was an unexpected shock to everyone and she will be greatly missed.
