Funeral services for Louis Perry Gardner took place Saturday, May 13, in the Richfield 2nd and 10th ward chapel, with Bishop Daniel Goold conducting.
A family prayer was shared by Corey Morrison (son-in-law) and the invocation was given by Staci Morrison (daughter).
The organist was Gary Lewis, with chorister Ben Hoffman.
Musical selections included congregational hymns of “A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief” (verses 1 & 7) and “God Be With You Till We Meet Again,” as well as a vocal selection of “So Long My Friend” by Tim Gates.
A life sketch was given by Dion Gardner (son). Memories of Grandpa were given by Oakley Gardner (grandson). A tribute was given by Pollyanna Jensen (daughter).
Closing remarks were provided by Bishop Goold and the benediction was offered by Summer Shaw (daughter).
Pallbearers included son, Dion Gardner; sons-in-law, Dirk Jensen, Corey Morrison, and Brad Shaw; grandsons, Konner Jensen, Shay Morrison, Kale Morrison, Gage Morrison, Hunter Schaub, Brandon Schaub, Oakley Gardner, Finn Gardner, Ike Shaw, Knox Shaw, Tyler Timmons, and Carson Lund; and great-grandson, Milo Morrison
Casket escorts included daughters, Pollyanna Jensen, Staci Morrison, and Summer Shaw; daughter-in-law, Ariane Gardner; granddaughters, Katelin Hansen, Kambry Timmons, Kinsley Lund, Mara Morrison, Sophie Gardner, Livvy Shaw, Sariah Morrison, and Kadison Morrison; great-granddaughters, Lila Hansen, Nollie Hansen, and Margo Morrison.
Interment was in the Richfield City Cemetery.
The dedicatory prayer was provided by Elder Konner Jensen (grandson, remotely participating from the West Virginia Charleston Mission).
Compassionate services were provided by the Richfield LDS 4th ward Relief Society.
