ELSINORE – Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Verdi Martin Rasmussen, 70, Elsinore, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1952, in Glendale, California, to Verdi Wendell and Della Margaret Sorenson Rasmussen. He married Della Mae Winn April 23, 1976, in Ely, Nevada.

Verdi was good at fixing anything. He loved helping others, being outdoors and going to the races. He owned and operated United Automotive for 43 years.  A member of the Richfield Elks Lodge, he served as chaplain.

Verdi is survived by his wife, Della; children, Stormee Tabish, Salt Lake City; Verdi Jason Rasmussen, Monroe; grandchildren, Shynille, Jaden, Shaylee, Ashlynn, Bodie, Jralin, Brexten, and Mylee; and siblings, Kathy (John) Tanner, Sandy; and Kevin Tiffany Rasmussen, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Misty Dawn Farnsworth; and brother, George Ferrell Rasmussen.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. in the Elsinore ward chapel. Friends may call Wednesday evening at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, from 6 to 7 p.m. or Thursday morning at the ward chapel in Elsinore, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
