ELSINORE — Carolyn Mae Hammond, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones Dec. 2, 2022, in Richfield. She was born on Oct. 31, 1929, in Albany, California, to Edwin and Beatrice Eckwall.

Carolyn met the love of her life, Rolland Hammond, in California whom she married July 30, 1977. They moved to Elsinore, in 1979 and began to build a beautiful home and a happy life together. They enjoyed gardening, Harley rides, going for walks, and spending time with family and friends.

Many people will remember her welcoming smile and friendly nature during her many years working at the Richfield K Mart.

Carolyn is survived by her adoring husband, 2 sons, daughter, stepdaughter, 7 grandchildren, and 8 greatgrandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her father, mother, and a sister.

Cremation services to be held in the Magleby Mortuary Crematory. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel.
