Utah Youth Soccer Association members and local Richfield club soccer teams consisting of players from Sevier and Sanpete Counties under the name of Gatos FC took four teams to a big Mesquite soccer tournament on February 8-10.Gatos (meaning cat in Spanish) after the Wildcat name Richfield has come to represent and ‘FC’ meaning futbol club took their U (meaning ‘under’) 18, U16, and U14 boys teams and a U14 girls team south to grow as a team, compete, and simply enjoy playing some winter soccer.The U14 girls team is coached by Erin Decker, the U14 boys team is coached by Tyler Paulson, the U16 team is coached by Brad Shaw and Andrew Hamberlin, and the U18 team is coached by Jeff Raisor, Cody Olsen, and Tyler Paulson.With only being able to practice once or twice a week for the four weeks before the tournament due to cold weather conditions, the teams headed south in the snow storm that hit I15 and had cars at a complete stand still on behind a five car pile up.
(Ephraim, UT, February 14, 2024) — Snow College is pleased to announce the addition of a cross country program for both men and women as well as a junior varsity football program beginning Fall of 2024.The cross country teams will be based on the Richfield campus while the JV football team will use the existing resources in Ephraim.
