RHS golfers take state

It was all smiles, high fives, hugs, and picture taking as the Richfield High School girls golf team raised the historic 3A State Championship trophy after completing another dominating season.On May 9 at the Meadows took Golf Course, the Wildcats put an exclamation mark on one of their most dominant girls golf seasons ever by winning the State title by 30 strokes!

RHS boys tennis secures second at region

The Richfield boys tennis team continues to steadily stay strong earning second place in Region 12 on May 8 in Mount Pleasant.The Region results ended up as Juab taking first, followed by Richfield, North Sanpete, Canyon View, Carbon, Manti, and Delta high schools.Region results were:1st singles - Bruce Gomez-Perez took second place2nd singles - Jaxon DeMille took third place3rd singles - Hunter Moore took first place1st doubles - Finn Spencer and Jackson Lord took second place2nd doubles - Ari Juluson and James Perschon took first place3rd doubles - Ethan Johnson and Luke Woolsey took third placeThe Wildcats look to compete at the State tournament which will be held May 16.

RHS represents at region track

With unexpected frigate cold temperatures, personal bests were still captured at the 3A Region 12 track meet on May 8 and 9 at Juab High School.After a hard fought two days of competition in a very tough region, the Richfield High School girls track team ended up taking third place overall behind Canyon View and Emery as they qualified more athletes for the upcoming State track meet.KinLee Barney placed 5th in the mile with a time of 5:36.33 which qualified her for the State meet with Brighten Goold close behind in 7th placeMylee Jensen had an incredible day breaking the long jump school record with a jump of 17-9.25 feet.

Softball players bat for state

State tournaments have been underway and South Sevier Lady Rams have been going above and beyond with their efforts.The Lady Rams softball team started out on May 4, slaying the North Sevier She Wolves in a grueling softball game 10-0.On May 9 the Lady Rams did even more damage as they beat Duchesne 6-4 and dominated Millard 21-11.There was a tight game on May 9 where South Sevier lost to Beaver 12-13.Friday May 10, the tournament continued with South Sevier making Altamont sweat during a game they won 8-4.South Sevier was up against Parawon and won 4-3 on Friday May 10.
