The Piute High School boys basketball team (7-7) hosted Milford High School (14-1) in a region game on January 15. The words grit, determination, perseverance, and drive come to mind as Thunderbirds fans watched this game unfold.

The Richfield High School swim team held their last home swim meet of the 2024/2025 season on January 15 in front a pretty good sized home crowd.

On Jan 15th, the Ladycat wrestlers drove up to Price for a duel with Carbon High School. The girls that won for Richfield include: Asia Nelson, Alyssa Camden, Emillie Memmott, Laukau Taufatofua, Olivia Lafaele, Summerlynne Nacarri Mikesell, Syd Christensen, Zeze Lafaele. The duel ended in a tie 42-42.

After the Winter Classic on Jan 3rd and 4th, The Ladycat wrestlers took a week off for the Ross Brunson Utah All-Star Dual. Only 4 wrestlers for each weight class were invited to go. Richfield was represented by Summerlynne Nacarri Mikesell. She represented her city, high school, and wrestling team well with a win by pin over her opponent from Bear River.

In a 3A Region 12 matchup, the Richfield High School (10-3) boys basketball teams welcomed in the Delta Rabbits (8-5) on January 10.

The North Sevier High School girls basketball team (7-6) hosted their cross town rivals South Sevier High School (11-3) on January 7 in a non-region game.
