It was a fitting tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in the name of freedom as a Memorial Day program was presented by Richfield City on May 27, at the Richfield City cemetery.Over 70 people in attendance sat in chairs and on the lawn facing the decorated flag poles and monument which stood as a fitting backdrop to the talented performers, speakers, and veterans who so beautifully brought patriotism to life.Richfield City Mayor Bryan Burrows conducted the program as a presentation of the colors was performed by the local Alpha Battery 2/222 Field Artillery and a prayer was offered by Miss Richfield Alex Christensen.The National Anthem was beautifully sung by Rachel Kruger.The audience stood to pledge their allegiance as directed by Lexan Shumway 1st attendant and Payton Nelson 2nd attendant Miss Richfield.
