FCCLA in action at North Sevier High School

This year, the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America at North Sevier High School has been a wonderful adventure. We´ve done many activities and have had very good participation.

This year, we have tried something new by doing spotlights at our monthly breakfasts. We choose a member, who answers some questions. We share their answers when we gather and bring their favorite treat or drink. The next month that member chooses who to spotlight.

We had a regional activity at Fishlake, where we got to know the members of the Wayne High School FCCLA group and met some new friends.

Our FCCLA group went to fall leadership in September and we got to see some of the people we had met at our regional activity. We also had a scary movie night for October. We had some pizza, and all enjoyed a good scream.

Our last activity was a Christmas party. We had some delicious tacos from Playa Azul, and played a fun game of white elephant.

Some members presented their STAR Projects at Region FCCLA in Cedar City. It is very exciting to see all the hard work they have put into these activities. Lexi Ellett and Kaydence Kiesel took silver with their National Programs in Action – service – project and MaCayla Wahlquist took silver with her fashion construction project. We anticipate seeing how they do at the state conference at the end of March.

FCCLA just hosted the Most Preferred Man assembly and what a success it was! Fine young men, fantastic talents, and beautiful escorts!
