After a tremendous fall high school sports season, awards were presented in an assembly at South Sevier High School on November 12 to student athletes who achieved greatness in the classroom, and on the links, track, field, and court.

On this day, in 1991 the article Tuesday Bomb threat empties Richfield High was featured on the front page following a horrific hoax call in 1991.On this day, a telephone bomb threat at the Richfield High School was called in which led to the evacuation of over 600 students along with faculty, staff, and other campus personnel.
With the high school football season ending on Saturday November 16, there wasn’t much of a turnaround time for many Richfield High School players as they held basketball tryouts just two days later and played their first game two days after that.On Wednesday November 20, the Wildcats boys basketball team made the drive to Cedar City to take on Cedar High School in a non region opening game.The Wildcats scored a respectable 16 points in the first quarter and 21 in the second as they went into halftime up 37-23 behind some terrific play by Richfield’s Jorgen Southwick.
