Who is ready to roll up their sleeve, spend a few hours working hard, and really making a difference? If that’s something you have in mind, then mark your calendars for the Humanitarian Day event at the Sevier County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

The Richfield Area Chamber of Commerce gathered at the Sevier County fairgrounds on August 13 for its monthly luncheon, bringing together local business leaders, members, and community supporters.

A sea of over 350 bike riders from 14 to 79 years old gathered at the Lion’s Park in Richfield on Saturday August 16 to start the annual Sevier Valley Rooster Ride. The music was playing, the spandex riding suits were in full fashion, and the excitement to put some miles behind these riders was in the air.

This summer, Athenian Academy was proud to serve the Richfield community by offering free breakfast and lunch to children 18 and under. With the support of dedicated volunteers, we served approximately 30,500 meals—helping ensure that local children stayed nourished and supported during the summer months. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who made this program possible. Our final day of summer meal service will be Wednesday, July 23rd.

The first story I ever wrote for The Richfield Reaper was about Sevier County’s 4-H club and how they’d dubbed us “the dancing county” for our swing dance activities. That was January 2022.
