Richfield Memorial Day program

It was a fitting tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in the name of freedom as a Memorial Day program was presented by Richfield City on May 27, at the Richfield City cemetery.Over 70 people in attendance sat in chairs and on the lawn facing the decorated flag poles and monument which stood as a fitting backdrop to the talented performers, speakers, and veterans who so beautifully brought patriotism to life.Richfield City Mayor Bryan Burrows conducted the program as a presentation of the colors was performed by the local Alpha Battery 2/222 Field Artillery and a prayer was offered by Miss Richfield Alex Christensen.The National Anthem was beautifully sung by Rachel Kruger.The audience stood to pledge their allegiance as directed by Lexan Shumway 1st attendant and Payton Nelson 2nd attendant Miss Richfield.

Construction underway on Loa Fish Hatchery; rebuild to be completed in 2027

Construction on the new Loa Fish Hatchery is underway, and an event was held Thursday to allow local residents, legislators, county commissioners, angling organizations and other groups to learn more about the project and construction timelines.During the 2023 legislative session, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources received the necessary funding to rebuild the Loa Fish Hatchery.

Intermountain Health Ranked #1 in the Nation by Fortune Magazine for 2024

Intermountain Health has been ranked the top large health system in the nation by Fortune magazine and PINC AI, as a part of their annual evaluation and rankings of the nation’s best health systems for 2024.This is Intermountain Health’s second consecutive year on the prestigious list – and the first time the health system has been being ranked number one.The Fortune Magazine analysis found that if all health systems in the United States performed like Intermountain Health and leading systems on the list, it would result in 220,000 fewer patient deaths and 196,000 fewer patients experiencing complications during their hospital stays.“I’m beyond proud of our entire team of caregivers who have put in the work to make this possible,” said Rob Allen, president and CEO or Intermountain Health.

Richfield High School held its annual end of the year awards assembly May 20 as the school, local businesses, groups, and organizations awarded much deserved scholarships, money, plaques, certificates, and announced this year’s valedictorian and salutatorian.The auditorium at RHS was full of students, parents, and local business and organizations representatives as awards were given.
