Monroe Pioneer Day Parade
Although a usually somewhat quiet city of about 2,600 people, the streets come alive the week of July 24 as people flock to the city of Monroe nestled in beautiful Sevier County.Every July 24, Pioneer Day is celebrated in Utah to commemorate the Mormon pioneers arriving in the Sat Lake valley after a grueling 1,300 mile trip from Nauvoo, Illinois on foot, covered wagons, and hand carts.
