Moving forward while celebrating the past

As one drives down historic Main Street in the city of Monroe, it’s easy to see that many efforts by city officials, local residents, and business owners show that an extra breath of life is being given to this beautiful little community.There’s the grocery store, city office, churches, schools, a park, sporting fields, RV spaces, eateries, a new strip mall, a landing zone for hang and paragliders, doctors offices, a care center.

Patriot riders and local VFW show respect

It was an all too familiar somber sound of the 21 gun salute, Taps being played by a single trumpet, and the heart piercing words to the Pledge of Allegiance being repeated at the Lions Park on August 10 as members of the Patriot Guard Riders of Utah and the local VFW came together to pay their finals respects.The Patriot Guard Riders is a one hundred percent volunteer, federally registered non-profit organization consisting of a diverse combination of motorcycle riders from across the nation.
