Utah legislature looks to change mail-in voting system

A new bill proposed by Utah House Republican leaders has proposed a bill to address concerns over the state’s vote-by-mail system. H.B. 300, also known as Amendments to Election Law, would require voters to return a mail-in ballot in person to a polling location where the voter must provide valid voter identification. Exceptions are outlined, and municipalities must have a set number of drop boxes based on voter population.
