UWLP Publishes Fourth of Six White Papers: Women, Finance, and Education

The Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) at Utah State University has released the fourth of six white papers sharing the results of a comprehensive study conducted earlier this fall. The study supports the efforts of “A Bolder Way Forward,” a statewide movement focused on ensuring that more Utah girls, women, and their families thrive.

Utah’s sexual assault prevention funding eliminated – Advocates urge immediate action

Salt Lake City, UT (March 5, 2025) – The Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (UCASA) is calling on community members and the media to bring attention to a devastating decision by the Executive Appropriations Committee (EAC) to eliminate all sexual assault prevention funding from the state budget. This decision comes after the Social Services Appropriations Committee recommended $1,625,000 of funding for sexual assault prevention and puts most prevention programs across the state at risk of shutting down.
