Fire’s across southern Utah

Southern and central Utah is in the peak of fire season, as a Stage 1 fire restriction was put in place on July 12, affecting federal, unincorporated, private, and state lands across the state.This is in part due to the soaring temperatures, but also the ever growing amount of active fires threatening Utah towns, National Forest lands, and transportation routes across the southern portion of the state.At the beginning of June, the Beaver prescribed burn transitioned into a wildfire as additional fire agency resources were needed to maintain the blaze.
