Each year, the month of October is designated as “Fire Prevention Month” and the second week of the month is dedicated as “Fire Prevention Week.” The Richfield City Fire Department was busy this past week, hosting their annual open house, attending the local elementary schools for presentations, and spreading the importance of fire prevention.“We look forward to the fire department open house each year,” said Fire Chief, Dustin Anderson, “The children love the opportunity to sit in the fire truck, tour the station, wear the uniforms, and see our equipment.”The Throughout the past week the fire department has been participating in school fire alarm testings to guarantee all systems in our area are working properly.
