On Wednesday, February 13, Representative Carl Albrecht formally recognized Dennis and Kellie Jorgensen, along with Jorgensen Companies, for their longstanding contributions to Utah’s business community and unwavering dedication to serving Central Utah.
“Founded in the mid-1950s by Klar Jorgensen and Dick Robinson, Jorgensen Companies began as a small Western Auto Associates store in downtown Richfield, selling sporting goods, hardware, and jewelry,” read Rep. Albrecht from the Official Citation Recognition. “Over the decades, the company has grown into a diverse enterprise, establishing itself as a pillar of Utah’s business landscape.”
Jorgensen’s Powersports has served Utah for over 62 years, holding the distinction of being the state’s oldest Honda dealership. However, the Jorgensens’ impact extends far beyond business success.
“Beyond its achievements as a business, Jorgensen Companies has remained deeply committed to the community,” Rep. Albrecht noted.
The company has generously supported local schools, sponsored numerous awards and events, and actively contributed to outdoor recreation initiatives. Their involvement in organizations such as the Paiute Trail Committee and the Blue-Ribbon Coalition has furthered efforts to preserve and enhance Utah’s renowned outdoor spaces.
“We have been truly blessed to live and serve in Central Utah,” said Dennis Jorgensen, owner of Jorgensen Companies. “This recognition is an honor for our business, but it truly belongs to our community, employees, and customers. It is a privilege to be part of something greater and to give back to the place we call home.”
In a formal citation, the Utah Legislature expressed its gratitude to Dennis, Kellie, and Jorgensen Companies for their ongoing contributions to Utah’s economy, outdoor recreation, and community development. The citation was signed by President J. Stuart Adams, Speaker Mike Schultz, Senator Derrin Owens, and Representative Carl Albrecht.
“Thank you for making Utah the number one outdoor recreation state in the nation,” said Speaker of the House, Mike Schultz. “We love our public lands and the beauty of our state, and we are grateful to those, like the Jorgensens, who help Utahns experience and appreciate the outdoors.”
Through their leadership, generosity, and passion for service, the Jorgensens have built more than a business—they have strengthened a community.
