PUBLIC NOTICE

A Petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the Monroe City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of a parcel of land belonging to Brent Lundgreen and located at approximately 100 East between 485 N and 500 N, Monroe UT and more specifically described as follows:

A PARCELOF LAND LOCTED IN THE SUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 25 SOUTH, RANGE 3 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN, IN SEVIER COUNTY, UTAH MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

BEGINNING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 3, BLOCK 68, PLAT “A” MONROE CITY SURVEY SAID POINT BEING ON THE SOUTH LINE OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 10 LOCATED N89°39’16” ALONG THE QUARTER SECTION LINE A DISTANCE OF 3328.48 FEET FROM THE EAST QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION10;

THENCE N889°39’16” ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECITON 10 A DISTANCE OF 362.94 FEET TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF BLOCK 67, PLAT “A” MONROE CITY SURVEY; THENCE NORTH 199.80 FEET; THENCE EAST 182.34 FEET; THENCE N88°55’54”E 41.85 FEET TO A REBAR WITH PLACTIC CAP STAMPED “RW FRIANT PLS 154652”; THENCE N89°29’59”E 138.11 FEET TO A REBAR WITH PLASTIC CAP STAMPED “RW FRIANT PLS 154652”; THENCE S00°11’02”E 203.97 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. CONTAINING 1.68 ACRES MORE OR LESS. 

BEGINNING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 3, BLOCK 68, PLAT “A” MONROE CITY SURVEY SAID POINT BEING ON THE SOUTH LINE OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 10 LOCATED N89°39’16” ALONG THE QUARTER SECTION LINE A DISTANCE OF 3592.39 FEET FROM THE EAST QUARTER CORNER OF SAID SECTION10;

THENCE N89°39’16”W 99.00 FEET TO THE NORTH EAST CORNER OF BLOCK 67, PLAT “A” MONROE CITY SURVEY; THENCE NORTH 199.80 FEET; THENCE EAST 182.34 FEET; THENCE N88°55’54”E 41.85 FEET TO A REBAR AND PLASTIC CAP STAMPED “RW FRIANT PLS 154652”; THENCE ALONG AN EXISTING FENCE LINE THE FOLLOWING FOUR CALLS 1. S40°08’04W 51.17 FEET; 2. S57°05’55”W 38.59 FEET; 3. S65°1’22”W 29.73 FEET; 4. S68°42’59” 21.60 FEET;

THENCE S89°20’59W 13.06 FEET; THENCE S00°09’30”E 120.55 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; CONTAINING 0.60 ACRES MORE OR LESS.

Notice of certification was received by the Monroe City Council on June 11, 2019. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Monroe City Recorder.

Monroe City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed with the Boundary Commission at 250 North Main, Richfield, Utah 84701, and a copy of the protest delivered to the Monroe City Recorder by July 5, 2019. A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by a legislative body or the governing board of an affected entity.
