CIRCLEVILLE — Kathleen Clark Spendlove passed away peacefully May 24, 2020, at her home in Circleville. She was born May 14, 1941, in Salt Lake City, to Ruby Marie Powell and Henry Clark. She attended West High School in Salt Lake City, and then attended the University of Utah for two years until she met her husband Joseph Neil Spendlove.
They were married in Milton, Aug. 31, 1962. Their marriage was solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona temple in January of 1967. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 29, 2015. Together they had five wonderful children, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Kathleen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her whole life serving in many church callings and touching many lives along the way. Along with the many callings she and her husband served faithfully together in the St. George temple. She lived in many places including Scottsdale, Arizona; Los Angeles, California; Salt Lake City; Westland, Michigan; and Circleville. She was a very organized person who loved family history, crossword puzzles and loved music and church devotionals.
Kathleen is survived by her four children, Christine (Alan) Christensen, Evanston, Wyoming; Gregory Spendlove, Grant Spendlove and Anthony Spendlove, all Circleville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Cam Spendlove; parents; daughter-in-law, Renata Spendlove; stepfather, Grant Averett; and sister, Naoma Kern.
Graveside services were held Monday, June 1, in the Milton Cemetery in Morgan.
