Richfield High School’s fifth ranked soccer team picked up two-shutout road wins. The first was a 4-0 victory over the Lady Red Devils of Grand in Moab, Friday. The second was a 5-0 win against the Lady Broncos of San Juan in Blanding, Saturday.
In the match against the Lady Red Devils, Richfield’s Melissa Crane netted two goals for the Lady ’Cats. Brittan Tait and Macey Pace each scored a goal and Megan Terry chalked the shutout as RHS’goalie for the Lady ’Cats.
It was Richfield’s Kate Robinson that led the Lady ’Cats with two goals in the bout against the Lady Broncos. Crane, Tait and Kortney Knutson all found the back of the Lady Broncos’ net as well. Terry earned her fifth shutout of the season in front of the goal.
At the mid-point of the season, the Lady ’Cats are currently 2-0 in region play and 7-1 overall.
The squad will travel to Castle Dale to take the field against the Lady Spartans of Emery today, Sept. 12. The Lady ’Cats will then take on the Lady Rams of South Sevier in Monroe Tuesday, Sept. 17. After which, the Lady ’Cats will host the Lady Broncos in Richfield Thursday, Sept. 19. All games are slated to begin at 4 p.m.
