Rooster Valley Classic champs

L3 Landscaping wins the 35th annual Rooster Valley Classic softball tournament at the Rotary Park in Richfield, Saturday.

L3 Landscaping beat Tram to win the men’s segment of the 35th annual Rooster Valley Classic softball tournament. The tourney was played at the Rotary Park in Richfield Friday and Saturday and incorporated a floating bracket system. The teams were split into two divisions and a championship game and prizes were awarded for each division.

Adventure Athletics out of Utah County beat No Hustle from Salt Lake City to win the dropdown division.

The two-day, men’s tournament drew 13 teams and over 140 players to Richfield from across the state of Utah.

“We are very happy with the turnout of both the co-ed and men’s portion of the tournament over the past two weekends,” said Sherri Christensen, Parks and Recreation director. “We are already looking forward to hosting the event again next year. It is great to see familiar faces from year to year.”
