MONROE – South Sevier High School’s football team’s season came to an end with a 54-6 road loss to Juab’s Wasps in Nephi Friday. The second ranked Wasps dominated the Rams offensively and defensively over the course of the 48-minute game.
Juab outscored the Rams 28-6 in the first quarter, 9-0 in the second, 14-0 in the third and 3-0 in the fourth. The highlight of the matchup for the Rams was an 85-yard pass from Noah Ramsey to Brody Carter for the squad’s only touchdown in the bout. Juab’s Trey Lund was dominant in the red zone with TD runs of six yards, two nine-yard runs and a three-yard run into the pay dirt.
The Rams’ season closed with a 2-3 record in region play and a 2-9 record overall.
South Sevier’s football team bids adieu to 13 seniors – Brody Carter, Salvador Gonzales, Tracen Winkel, Luke Jarnagin, Cooper Hessey, Connor Peterson, Bryce Healey, Talmage Louder, Jacob Robinson, Kemmer Jones, CJ Ames and Seth Bastian.
