The first game was the closest as Richfield won a volleyball match 3-0 against Emery Sept. 11 at home.
The Lady ’Cats beat Emery 26-24 in the first game. However, the next two games ended 25-16, 25-12, sealing an easy win for the Lady Wildcats.
The win puts Richfield at 10-4 overall this volleyball season. The match was also the first region encounter of the season.
Sammi Beck led the way with 12 kills. Sloane Roundy added nine kills, while Megan Bean had seven.
Carly Jorgenson served 16 points for Richfield. Jorgensen also led Richfield in passing with a 2.0 percentage. Emily Torgerson served 14 points.
Sammi Beck led the team in digs with nine. McKell LaJeunesse had 29 assists.
Next the Lady ’Cats dig deeper into their region season as they travel to San Juan Friday, Sept. 21. Then the Lady ’Cats are to head to Grand Saturday, Sept. 22, for the second leg of the longest bus trip of the year.
Richfield returns to its home court Thursday, Sept. 27, in a county grudge match with South Sevier.
