Local BMX riders compete at state

Red Hills BMX riders compete in the 2019 Utah State BMX Championship race in South Jordan, Sept. 21.

Members of the Red Hills BMX team competed in the 2019 Utah State BMX Championship, Sept. 21. Riders earned their place in the state competition by competing in various state qualifier races throughout the year. 

The event had 51 motos and 218 riders. 

The local BMX competitors who participated included Tayven Shaw, front row left; Danny Gallegos, Zadyn Gleave, Stone Larsen, Steele Mckinlay, Jourdan Malcom, Cruz Christensen, Sawyer Smith, Slate Larsen and Patrick Shaw. As well as, Jagger Stanton, second row left; Nick Gallegos, Ryder Shaw, Drayson Christensen and Skout Daniels. Also, Jon Gallegos, third row left; Chad Gleave, Slade Christensen and Jaycee Mckinlay. 

Other participants included Brady Hansen, Mya Malcom, Griffen Gardner, Renate Anderson, Savannah Anderson, Lukas Anderson, Klarissa Anderson and Amanda Anderson.
