The Richfield High School girls’ basketball team picked up a pair of non-region wins last week at the Desert Hills Classic, but not before getting its first loss of the season.

The Lady ’Cats had an even closer game Friday against Box Elder, but this time they came out ahead 47-45.

Emma Jones led all scoring players with 16 points, including a pair of treys. Lord contributed 10 in the win.

The Lady ’Cats then took on Logan Saturday, cruising to a 45-38 win.

Richfield owned a 16-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and never let go.

Jones led again, this time with three 3-pointers and 17 points. Abigail Woolsey chipped in another 15 points for Richfield.

Next is a home game against Hurricane at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9.
