REDMOND – The Other Team won the second annual Midnight Madness one-pitch softball tournament at 5 a.m., Saturday morning in Redmond. The team was undefeated at the tourney, and consisted of Diane and Robbie Pierce’s kids from Cedar City.

Sevier Valley Hospital’s team played their way back from the loser’s bracket to play The Other Team for the championship.

The event is hosted by North Sevier High School’s softball program. The tournament is held at the Redmond baseball fields, located at 100 North State Street, Redmond.

“ We had a great turnout this year with a lot of community support,” said Angela Lindley, head coach of NSHS’s softball team. “That is, until the rain sent spectators home. The teams continued through the rain and the tournament finished with a lot of good softball being played on the Redmond baseball fields.

“We would like to thank everyone who sponsored the event and the teams who played throughout the night. North Sevier softball appreciates all the support through this annual fundraiser.”
