ANNABELLA — Approximately 18.1 acres burned in Saul’s Meadow Aug. 28.
The fire was reported approximately three miles east of Annabella, according to Jill Ivie, range technician for fire prevention and mitigation.
The Saul’s Meadow Fire was located on Bureau of Land Management administered lands.
Sevier County Deputies temporarily closed the Saul’s Meadow Road for firefighter and public safety.
“It is believed to have been human caused,” said Sevier County Sheriff Nate Curtis.
The Richfield Fire Department and other resources were dispatched to contain the blaze.
No structures were damaged by the fire.
As of Friday, one fire engine was on-site to check the area and mop up as needed.
“With hot and dry conditions throughout Utah, please be extra careful in all of your outdoor activities,” Ivie said. “It only takes one spark to ignite a wildfire.”
The fire is one of seven active in the state.
