Jensen’s note 70th anniversary

June and Morris Jensen

Morris and June Jensen, Richfield, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary July 1.

Morris E. Jensen married Pearl June Carter July 1, 1950, in Reno, Nevada. They met each other in Salt Lake City, June’s hometown. He was a country boy from Elsinore, she a city girl. If anyone knows June, she gave Morris a challenge, but his charm and good looks won her over.

They built a family over the years welcoming three beautiful daughters to their union. First was Lorie, then Shauna, and last, but not least the baby girl of the family, Stephanie. They lived most oftheir lives in Sevier County, but have lived in the Salt Lake area and Los Angeles, California, for a short period of time.

Morris owned Jensen Electric on Richfield’s Main Street for several years along with his brothers. June served as a Pink Lady, which she loved. Morris and June take great pride in raising and supporting their family. Over the years they welcomed their son-inlaws Chris Peterson (Lorie), Brent Avery (Shauna), and Cregg White (Stephanie), which they did with open arms. Love for others has always been their strongest attribute.

As the years progressed, Morris and June welcomed five grandchildren, Jennifer Zolnik (Sebastian), Jericho Avery (Destiny), Tyler White (Brandi), Danielle Ortega and Travis White. Many years of trips to the family cabin, and camping filled them and their posterity with joy and memories. Morris and June’s family mean everything to them. June devoted her days to helping watch her grandchildren as they grew. Morris and June never missed ball games, recitals, or events of their children and grandchildren. They have instilled confidence and strength into their children and grandchildren over the years.

Morris and June have watched their family grow more and more adding great grandchildren, Austin Wiley (Preslee), Cody (Jamie Mendoza), Ethan Wiley, Neomi Avery, Lydia Ortega, Lucas Ortega, Landon Ortega, Lux White, Emma White, Dash White and Olivia Avery. They have also been blessed with two great-great grandchildren Oliver Wiley (Cody Wiley) and Wolf Wiley (Austin Wiley). The family of Morris and June would like to congratulate them on many years of love and growth.
