Woman extricated from rollover – Incapacitating injuries suffered

Firefighters work to extricate a Colorado woman from an accident July 11, near Elsinore. The woman received incapacitating injuries.

ELSINORE — A single vehicle rollover on Interstate 70 resulted in one person being injured July 11.

The accident occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m., as a 2000 Toyota Tundra was headed east. The vehicle, driven by Lauren Reavis, 27, Aurora, Colorado, drifted off the right side of the road, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Reavis overcorrected back to the left, resulting in the truck rolling.

Reavis was wearing a seat belt, but received incapacitating injuries to the neck. The Richfield Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to extricate Reavis from the truck.

Reavis was transported to Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield, and later flown to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo for treatment of her injuries.

The passenger in the truck, Jason Westman, 32, Denver, Colorado, was not wearing a seat belt and received non-incapacitating injuries in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
