JUNCTION – New royalty was crowned at the Miss Piute Scholarship Pageant as part of the Piute County Fair Butch Cassidy Days festivities, June 11.
Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, the format of the pageant was somewhat different than in years past. Contestants made and submitted videos of their talent to be judged rather than performing live. Interviews, modeling and crowning took place live at the Junction Community Center and contestants could wear the same dress for all three.
The Miss Piute royalty includes –
Tyree King, Miss Piute; Abby Morgan, first attendant; and Brinnly Miramontes, second attendant.
The Miss Piute Teen winners were – Emma Jensen, Miss Piute Teen; Stormee Barnson, first attendant; and Miriam Thomas, second attendant.
Sage Nowers was named Miss Piute Junior Teen.
The Miss Piute Junior royalty inludes – Whitlee Westwood, Miss Piute Junior; Avery Morgan, first attendant; Lilly Nowers, second attendant. Other royalty included Honour Whittaker, Avery Whittaker and Katherine Thomas.
Brooklyn Hoyt was named Miss Piute Tot with Miller Winckel as first attendant.
