A pesticide safety and education workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Carbon County Event Center, 310 South Fairgrounds Road, Price.

This event is sponsored by Utah State University Cooperative Extension and is free of charge if lunch is not provided, or RSVP for lunch at a cost of $13.30 per person.  This workshop is open to the public.

This workshop is for farmers, ranchers, agency personnel and business owners who use or apply pesticides to control weeds, insects and other pests.  Participants will earn up to six continuing education units – CEUs – to apply toward renewing their private, commercial and noncommercial licenses.

Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to renew their licenses with the agriculture department at a cost of $20.
