Halloween blowout

Jerry and Melanie Williams take decorating for Halloween to the next level at their home in Richfield, Oct. 31.

With the assistance of family members, Jerry and Melanie Williams went all out to decorate for Halloween.

The couple filled their yard with a slew of decorations, which included a variety of oversized inflatables of pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons, pirates, a black cat, a dragon with moving wings, as well as talking witches, multiple RIP headstones, spiders and a 10-foot werewolf.

“This is the largest display we have created to date,” Jerry said. “We pick up and add new items each year. It took us five days to put it all together this year. It is a family effort that we have a lot of fun with.”

The impressive yard display was backed by the front end of a pirate ship built off their home using recycled wood and pallet planks to create a rendition of the legendary ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman, complete with a mast, flag and sails where a hologram was displayed after dusk.
