While the 2nd Battalion 222nd Field Artillery of the Utah Army National Guard continues its deployment to Iraq, the soldiers are busy.

However, they did find time to host a ceremony for the reenlistment of two of their own Sept. 24 on a street in Baghdad in the shadow of the Arc of Triumph - a monument built under the direction of Saddam Hussein.

Sevier County soldiers Sgt. Jay Davis and Staff Sgt. Adam Jacobsen, both reenlisted for a term of six years with the National Guard.

The 222nd was deployed in June. After training at Camp Atterbury, Ind., the soldiers were deployed to Iraq, where the mission is expected to keep them for nearly a year.

The group includes 400 soldiers from Richfield, Cedar City, Beaver, Fillmore, St. George and surrounding communities.
