It’s time again for our 24th of July Pioneer Day Celebration. Our celebration is a great time for getting together with family and friends. It’s great to see old friends reunite and new friends made during our several days of celebration. Be sure to come enjoy all the festivities Wednesday through Friday, July 22 through 24.

Don’t miss the community BBQ Thursday, July 23, with our famous slow roasted beef with all the fixings. The children’s parade will start at 6 p.m., followed by the BBQ.

The parade will start at 10 a.m., Friday, July 24, and the concert and fireworks will be that evening at the South Sevier Middle School football field.

Please remember to social distance and wear masks as appropriate. I want our valley to stay safe and healthy while still having the fun and camaraderie we so much enjoy in our great little valley.

As mayor, you have the authority to mandate masks. Today, Ideal dairy has no employees wearing masks and no customers. People need leadership. There will be more cases, more deaths. Leaders will hear that responsibility.
