LOA – The 2019 Wayne County Fair is just around the corner. The annual event will kick off with a Ned LeDoux concert Friday, Aug. 16, at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, located at 300 South 300 West, Loa. The concert is general admission and tickets are available for $16.50 per person.

The Wayne County Superhero Glow 5K and 1 Mile Run will begin at 10:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 16, at the Loa Turner Park. 

Online registration can be completed at runnercard.com under road races. 

Fair day, Saturday, Aug. 17, activities will include jackpot team roping beginning at 11 a.m. Slack events will start at 5 p.m. The rodeo is scheduled for 7 p.m., and will include bareback bronc riding, calf roping, team roping, barrel racing, bull riding, a maiden race, a keg race, a hide race, ribbon pull, wild cow milk and a trailer race. 

Admission is free to children four years of age and under, $5 for children 5 to 11 years, $7 for 12 year olds and older and $25 for a family of five.
