Richfield High School’s cheerleading team brought home gold from the Utah State High School Cheer competition held at Salt Lake Community College in Salt Lake City, Jan. 25. 

They competed in five categories and earned three first place and two second place trophies, as well as the overall gold. 

The squad finished first in sideline dance, pom-song leading and co-ed show cheer. The second place finishes were in fight song and all-girl show cheer.

The RHS cheerleading team includes – Sarah Bate, Gabi Bruse, Brecklyn Buchanan, Tryshelle Butcher, Caeli Chidester, Josie Christensen, Sydnee Dallam, Tyleigh Gleave, Misti Hales, Kayshia Hansen, Gillyin Jenson, Tayler Lewis, Andelyn Mikesell, Calleigh Mikesell, Avery Nay, Natasha Oldroyd, Taryn Prince, Oaklyn Riddle, Kambree Roberts, Ariana Rodriguez, Harper Smith, Magi Despain, Bailey Sorenson, Alisi Taufatofua, Sam Torgerson, Ofeina Vakautakakala and Roxie Yardley. 

The squad is coached by Debbie Bate, Tami Smith, Melanie McMains, Hailey Rippstein and Cami Graham.
