The Richfield City Council bid farewell to the city’s manager, Matt Creamer, during a meeting Sept. 24.
“I had some things I was going to wait until next meeting to bring up, but I won’t be here,” Creamer said.
On a more serious note, Creamer thanked the council for the opportunity to serve as the city’s administrator.
“It’s been a real honor to work with Richfield City through the years,” Creamer said.
“I’m always reminded of how much he loves the community,” said Mayor David Ogden. He thanked Creamer and presented him with a gift from the city in honor of his retirement.
As Creamer steps down, Michele Jolley will step up as the new city administrator.
Jolley has worked for Richfield City since 1994, when she started as the deputy city recorder. The next year she took over as the recorder and has been in the position since.
“If anyone can step in and take our city to new heights it’s Michele,” Ogden said.
