Mary Powell celebrated her 92nd birthday April 20, where friends and family dropped off flowers and gifts at her door, along with well wishes, while still social distancing.
Mary was born April 20, 1928, to Elva and Delilah Staples, in Central Valley. She married Kay Powell Sept. 11, 1947, in Central Valley. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS temple. Kay passed away Jan. 6, 1998.
Throughout her life, Mary has had many jobs. For 19 years, she worked at The Richfield Reaper for the Fuellenbachs, but has also worked at the bowling alley, a café and the Ideal Dairy. She loves spending time with her family and watching various sports, including the Utah Jazz.
Mary has two children, Roger, Tooele; and Stanley, Central Valley; and has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
