’Cat athletes earn Academic All-State awards

Richfield High School seniors are recognized and receive Academic All-State awards during an assembly in Richfield, May 15. Recipients include Nathan Winters, left; Payson Reed, Abigal Janke, Shelby Perschon, Madison Bogh, Hayden Harris and Javee Rollins.

Seven athletes from Richfield High School received the Utah High School Activities Association’s Academic All-State awards for excelling in the classroom, as well as in athletic competition.

“There are 20 schools in the 3A division in Utah,” said Richard Barton, assistant principal and athletic director at RHS. “Only 10 athletes per sport are selected for this prestigious award, which recognizes excellence in the classroom and on the playing field. We are proud of these individuals and their outstanding representation of our school and community.” 

Recipients include, Madison Bogh, Abby Janke and Shelby Perschon, softball; Hayden Harris and Javee Rollins, golf; and Nathan Winters and Payson Reed, baseball.
