It truly is the end of an era. With the recent movie release of part two of J.K. Rowling's seventh and final book, "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows," the final chapter on Harry Potter and his faithful friends, Ron and Hermione comes to close.

We had been complaining about our dishwasher for a long time. It just wasn’t doing its dang dish duty. The glasses weren’t just streaked, they were cloudy, and the cups and bowls had little bits of sand in them.
Do you ever feel like you are the proverbial man — or woman — without a country, so to speak. Between the Richfield Fourth of July celebration and a trip to a grocery store in my hometown of Gunnison, I wondered just where I belonged.

The graves have been decorated and the flowers are losing their blooms; the flags have waved in the wind; the departed have been remembered and memories have been shared; and Memorial Day, the date that unofficially heralds in the summer season, has been and gone.
