Rock Shop

Emmaline Steele, a student at Pahvant Elementary School, listens while Bryant Washburn explains some of the different things in his rock shop in Richfield, May 6.

The Washburns hosted second grade students for what will be the final time last week.

More than 5,000 people have visited the rock shop and museum over the past 21 years.

" My son, who visited the shop last week, had a fabulous time there! When he got home, he couldn’t wait to share what he had learned with us and he absolutely treasures the rocks he came home with. A great big thank you to the Washburns!!! "

" My daughter went last year, and is now in the third grade and STILL talks about this field trip. She still has her rocks, and can name many of them. The Washburns are amazing! NOTE TO REAPER: Maybe your next Community Heroes???!! "
