Wolves add another win

Wednesday, October 8, 2008 8:39 AM MDT
The North Sevier High School football team battled through an overtime to take a 26-20 win over Parowan Friday night on the road.

During the game, Josh Bates led the Wolves with more than 100 yards, as did Chase Argyle.

The game started with Riley Tidlund converting a pass from Tanner Larsen into an 80-yard touchdown play.

Parowan followed suit, scoring a field goal from 23-yards out, ending the first period 6-3.

Parowan then jumped out in the lead with a 59-yard touchdown, followed by 25-yard field goal. The Rams took a 13-6 edge.

North Sevier's Argyle capped a North Sevier drive with a one-yard dash into the end zone, ending the first half in a 13-12 struggle.

Parowan scored another TD in the third period, taking a 20-12 edge.

North Sevier scored in the third period off of an 11-yard reception by Tidlund from Larsen. Kendall Sorenson ran in the two-point conversion, knotting the game at 20-all, which is where regulation play ended.

Bates was able to bust through the Parowan defense in overtime on a four-yard run to break the tie and give North Sevier it's fifth win of the season.

Next for the Wolves is a home game against Enterprise Friday, Oct. 10.
